very good harry, since we can't argue on friday we'll have to argue in cyberspace, i think i'll have to change mine, how could i leave out fleet foxes ? much as i love that mariza album and she was superb live i'll have to swap it for the fleet foxes.
i love the midlake album but is it strong enough to be an album of the decade ? " young bride " is certainly a track of the decade but the whole album ?
same with lcd soundsystem, great record but is it just talking heads crossed with new order ?
nothing wrong with that of course.
arcade fire ? never got them at all.
and sufijan stevens ? i mean, he's okay but album of the decade ?
arctic monkeys just missed out on sheffield album of the decade to richard hawley because i still listen to coles corner, ( is his new one any good by the way ?)
great list though.

Pete,

Yes, how could you leave out Fleet Foxes! I must admit I don't really understand the appeal of Mariza or Portuguese Fado. The Midlake album is still pretty tremendous, I'm waiting to see if they can follow it up with something as good. As far as LCD Soundsystem and Sufjan Stevens go, all I'd say is give them another listen. Really surprised that you don't get Arcade Fire.. it is truly the album of the decade.

Cheers,
Harry
